A regal antique Edwardian cluster ring from the early 1900s modelled in 18ct gold and crowned with a deep violet cushion cut amethyst in the centre (approx. 1.1ct) framed by bright white seed pearls.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
It’s a striking piece, in excellent condition and complete with Chester hallmarks and the maker’s mark, indicating it was made by “Samuel Usher Ltd” in 1909.
